Homeopathy and Nutrition
In my practice I choose to deepen healing with a classical approach to homeopathic
treatment.
Homeopathic treatment is a principle put to practice, not the giving of homeopathic
medicines. Samuel Hahnemann, founder and discoverer of this principle, practiced in
Europe in the late 1700’s to mid-1800’s. He discovered and understood a principle of
natural healing that all forms of natural healing modalities utilize, whether it’s
acupuncture, fasting, osteopathic manipulative treatment, ayurvedic treatment, or herbs.
Some of these principles are that the body heals from the inside out, from above to
below, from the most recent ailment to the last and that aggravations (worsening of
ailments) can occur as a result of purification.
In classical homeopathy the body is given a similar (or slightly dissimilar) disease that
stimulates the body’s own self-righting mechanism to come forth. One medicine is
given once (if in high potency) and time is allowed for the body to respond (at least 4-6
weeks) or the body is given very low potencies daily of one remedy.
Deep seated illnesses like rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, suicidal ideation,
depression to asthma, eczema, chronic ear infections (just to name a
very few) can be addressed with homeopathy.
