Pediatric Osteopathy
At birth, pressures on the head and spine are tremendous, and can leave permanent
torsion and compression patterns in the body, unless released by someone trained in cranial sacral osteopathy.
Viola Frymann, D.O., founder of the Osteopathic Center for Children in San Diego, California, studied the impact
of birth on babies and found through palpation of 1,500 newborns in San Diego hospitals that 85-90% of all babies
have some kind of spinal/pelvic misalignment and also that cranial compression occurs, in some more than others,
depending on birth circumstances.
Prevention
Osteopathy can prevent the following, especially if a child is treated early in life. Treatment can begin within the first week of life.
What You See In A Compromised Baby
All children can benefit whether these abnormal findings are present at birth or not.
Often problems don't become apparent until age two or later.
