WELCOME
I offer over 40 years of experience, allowing me to truly serve the interests of your health and the health of your loved ones.
Osteopathy in the cranial field is the most significantly deep-acting bodywork of any kind known to man. Acting on the deepest connective tissue first, the dural membrane around the brain and spinal cord, and then outwardly to all of the other tissues in the body.
Doctors of Osteopathy (D.O.) hold the same unlimited practice rights as M.D.s in the United States. I am a licensed Family Practice Physician in California and an Osteopathic Physician. However, I specialize in manual manipulative medicine and treat restricted structural motion on all levels in the body.
Dr. Newlon practices medicine in a holistic and individualized manner, and uses a gentle manipulative technique called myofascial and articular ligamentous release, incorporating the motion of the cranial bones and the subtle rocking motion of the sacrum.
Often likened to acupressure, this Osteopathic healing skill carefully releases areas of restricted motion on all levels in the body. Just as the movement of blood through the body is determined by taking the pulse, Osteopathic physicians are trained to feel the waves of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the body by touch to the head or pelvis.

The greatest joy in my work is treating babies and children. They are gifts that remind us of our true nature. Treatment with cranial sacral osteopathy, and when needed, homeopathy, is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.

Osteopathy
In osteopathic manipulation, muscle, bone, ligament, organ, fluid and membrane movement is addressed in treatment, enabling the body’s natural ability to heal itself to come forward. For example, if lung movement is impeded by ribs, spine or a diaphragm that is not moving well, breathing will be impaired. If breathing is impaired, the body’s immune function through lymphatic drainage is not good and healing will be hindered.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a wonderful and powerful adjunct medical system to the Osteopathic work. I find it deepens a healing process that Osteopathy starts. It builds upon the intimate and powerful mind-body connection. It’s application can provide relief from both physical and mental/emotional disturbances

“Amazing physician.
