Meet Dr. Barbara Newlon

The greatest joy in my work is treating babies and children. They are gifts that remind us of our true nature. Treatment with cranial sacral osteopathy, and when needed, homeopathy, is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.”
Dr. Barbara Newlon received her Osteopathic Doctorate in 1981 from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and has been treating children in Marin County since 1985. She has completed
more than 1,000 hours of postgraduate training through the Cranial Academy, an affiliate of the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Newlon has taught the cranial concept since 1982 at the Osteopathic College in Pomona, California, and at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. She has served on the Board of the Osteopathic Center for Children in San Diego, California.

Dr. Newlon is honored to have studied with several of the leading cranial sacral osteopaths in the United States, all taught directly by William Garner Sutherland, D.O., the founder and originator of cranial sacral osteopathy.

These include Anne Wales D.O., Edna Lay D.O., Paul Kimberly D.O., Robert Fulford D.O. (who is discussed in Andrew Weil M.D.’s best-selling book, Spontaneous Healing), and Viola Frymann D.O. (founder of the Osteopathic Center for Children in San Diego, CA).

A practitioner of classical homeopathy since 1987, Dr. Newlon has trained with Vassilis Ghegas, M.D., Sheilagh Creasy, Roger Morrison, M.D., Bill Gray, M.D., Nancy Herrick, P.A., Parul Herscu, N.D., and Jeremy Sherr.
