    Welcome

Welcome to my practice. I am a highly trained Osteopathic Physician, specializing in Osteopathy in the cranial field. I have a special interest in the treatment of newborns and children.

I practice medicine in a way that lets me truly serve the interests of your health and the health of your family, it’s healthcare the way it should be – uncompromising.

Doctors of Osteopathy(D.O.) hold the same unlimited practice rights as M.D.s in the United States. I am a licensed Family Practice Physician in California and and Osteopathic Physician. However, I specialize in manual manipulative medicine and treat restricted structural motion on all levels in the body.

Treatment sessions last 30-60 minutes. I offer an alternative to quantity over quality ‘conveyor belt medicine’, where doctors are allocated an average of 10 to 15 minutes to assess and treat a problem. I practice medicine that lets me truly serve the interest of your health.

    Adult Care

Osteopathy is now recognized as an effective treatment for a wide range of painful disorders. It helps restore the function of the musculoskeletal system (joints, muscles and ligaments). The aim is to relieve pain and get you going again as quickly as possible.

    Pediatric Care

Osteopathic treatment is a safe and gentle way to care for most common childhood problems as well as those that are difficult to diagnose and/or difficult to treat. Children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents, respond very well to osteopathic treatment.

    Sports Injuries

Sports injuries are common at every age and can often have lasting effects. When your painful sport injury lasts for more than a few weeks, it is important to see a sports injury pain relief treatment specialist to help ensure your pain does not become chronic pain.

    Testimonial

My entire family has seen Dr. Newlon for osteopathic treatment for many years. Her treatment has been a great help with my own chronic back problems. My children and I all notice a real sense of well-being after seeing her for osteopathic manipulative treatment. I think that she provides a type of care that can be an important adjunct to conventional medical treatment.— Michael Harris, M.D., Marin County

    Testimonial

Liam had his first treatment with Dr. Barbara at five days old, and her soothing touch was evident immediately. As Liam has grown he has continued having treatments at regular intervals. I credit his uncommon good health to his clear and comfortable body. He always looks forward to his visits with Dr. Barbara. — Hilary Craddock, San Rafael, CA
